There are anti-cancer tips to help protect yourself and your family from disease. Making healthy food choices, the drinks you drink, and lifestyle habits can reduce the risk of getting cancer.
Nearly one-third of all cancer deaths are related to what we eat. Good nutrition improves health. Here are seven simple guidelines to help people eat healthy food.
Eat a variety of foods. It’s important to eat a variety of foods every day to provide the nutrients needed. No food can provide complete nutritious food. Food choices are fruits and vegetables, whole cereals, lean meat, skinless poultry, fish, peas and beans, low-fat dairy products.
Limit saturated fats and avoid trans fats. The total amount of fat you eat, whether high or low, is not associated with this disease. The important thing is the type of fat you eat. Saturated fats are found in animal products and processed foods, such as meat, dairy products, chips, and pastries, while unsaturated fats, on the other hand, are found in foods such as nuts, avocados, and olives. They are liquid at room temperature and different from saturated fat because their chemical structure contains a double bond.
Trans fat is produced through a process called hydrogenation. Recently, the University of Maryland researched Dr. Mary Enig in 1978 that the increase in cancer rates was directly related to total fat intake and vegetable fat intake but not to the consumption of animal fat. Dr. Enig, a consultant doctor, who specializes in nutrition since spending the last 25 years warns of the dangers of trans fat and the relative safety of animal fats.

Eat enough food with starch and fiber. A high-fiber diet can reduce the risk of colon and rectal cancer. It is now known that people can inherit the risk of colon cancer, but eating patterns are also important. There is a small rate of colon cancer in the population of countries where wheat is not processed and retains their fiber.
Avoid too much sugar. If you eat a lot of sugar, your body generates a lot of insulin. Insulin is a natural particle made by the body. Insulin can order cells to grow. However, cancer cells can be encouraged to become more, when our body produces too much insulin. So, while some insulin in the body is healthy, excess insulin can help cancer cells grow more, which is not a good thing.
Avoid too much sodium. Our kidneys regulate the amount of sodium stored in our body. When the level is too high, it will pass through our urine. But “if your kidneys cannot remove enough sodium, sodium begins to accumulate in your blood,” so we hold back the fluid, which increases blood volume. Along with cardiovascular risk, a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that salty foods can increase the risk of cancer. A possible factor in this increase is the presence of preservatives nitrates and nitrites in salty foods.
Avoid alcoholic drinks. Heavy drinking combined with smoking is associated with cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, and liver. This may be because alcohol can act as a solvent, helping harmful chemicals in tobacco enter the cells that line the digestive tract. Alcohol can also slow down the ability of these cells to repair DNA damage caused by chemicals in tobacco.
